[England is just going to try not to think about the part where it could be really dangerous.]

I haven't got hard numbers offhand, especially since people don't always report once they're feeling better, but by my observations, these effects usually last less than a week. [Mycroft's laziness pays off! England also decides to throw in one piece of data for him.] Mine went on for seven days when it happened to me.

Is memory loss a common theme?

Yes. Usually it seems to be either memory or sensory loss of some kind, but not always. Some people have had rather unique losses. [Mostly House. But he's far from the only one.]

Perhaps there is a pattern. I'll attempt to look into it if I have the time, unless you know of someone that's already compiled that sort of data?

Not to my knowledge, sorry. I do know that Stephen—username @beyonce—has been keeping a census, including reported deaths. That might be a good place to start.
